NFC Pals ๐ฆ๐ง๐ฎ
A tiny owl, penguin, or Highland cow that knows exactly who to call if a backpack goes missing. Each pal hides an NFC tag inside, so one phone tap brings up the parents' contact details.
๐ Why You'll Love It:
๐ Quick Specs: Fits 25 mm NTAG215 NFC stickers (roughly 50 mm pal size | built-in keychain loop)
Estimated Print Time & Material Usage (Bambu Lab A1):
Approximate โ varies by printer and slicer settings.
๐ Print Settings: See included README.md for detailed instructions
The print pauses by itself at layer 13 (2.6 mm). Printing from the STL? Add that pause in your slicer first.
Peel the backing off a tag and press it flat into the round pocket. One tag per pal.
Press continue on your printer. It prints over the tag and seals it inside.
iPhones can't read a contact card from an NFC tag, so the tag holds a link instead. It works on iPhone and Android. Open vcard-go.com/create or scan the code, fill in your name and mobile number, press Create vCard and copy the link.
Install the free NFC Tools app (or scan the code): iPhone: apps.apple.com/app/id1252962749 Android: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wakdev.wdnfc Tap Write, Add a record, URL / URI. Paste the URL from vcard-go and press OK.
Press Write and hold your phone to TAP ME until it says done. Tap again to test. Store the parents' details only, not your home address.
Thread the keyring through the loop and clip it onto the backpack.
